My story began in Orange, CA, in 2001, yet my true landscape was formed over eight years within the California foster care system. Between entering at age five and aging out at twenty-one, I walked through the shadows of transition and homelessness. These trials rooted a deep purpose in me, leading to my service on the San Bernardino City Unified School District Board, as a Student Board Member in 2019 and my time mentoring youth at FosterClub’s Oregon Teen Retreat in 2022. Now, as a Community Resource Worker at SBCUSD, I am returning to the soil that grew me, bringing hope to the familiar paths of my past. This blog is not a showcase of where I have been; it is a sanctuary intended to echo the small, brave whispers of those whose journeys have remained largely unspoken.
